Choosing your role and completing your profile

The difference between joining as a climber or as a coach, what each onboarding questionnaire asks for, and why the role cannot be changed afterwards.

The app interface is currently in Spanish only. Buttons and messages are quoted as you will see them, with the English meaning in brackets.

The first time you sign in with a verified account you will see the question «¿Cómo vas a usar la app?» (How will you use the app?) and two options:

  • Soy Escalador (I’m a climber) - to log your sessions, follow plans and track your progress.
  • Soy Entrenador (I’m a coach) - to manage your athletes, build plans and analyse performance.

Choose carefully: the role cannot be changed later

While you have not finished the questionnaire you can go back and switch. Once you complete it, the role is fixed and the app will not let you change it.

If you pick the wrong one, write to us before using the account any further and we will correct it.

One exception: if you arrived through an invitation from your coach, you will not see this screen. Your account is created as a climber directly.

The climber questionnaire

Four steps, and every marked field is required. You cannot skip it or leave it half done: until you finish, the app will not let you reach any other screen.

  1. Your coach - search by name or paste the code they gave you. If you arrived by invitation, this step does not appear.
  2. Your location - your city. A map confirms the location, and you have to wait for it to resolve.
  3. Physical data - age, gender, weight and height. The kg/lb and cm/ft selectors set the units used across the whole app.
  4. Bouldering and equipment - your preferred grading system, your hardest sport and boulder grades, and whether you own a Tindeq Progressor. The onsight grades are the only optional fields.

The coach questionnaire

Four steps as well, but only the first is mandatory:

  1. Your speciality - at least one specialisation (sport, boulder, indoor…) and your years of experience. Required.
  2. Your certifications - optional, free text.
  3. Measurement preferences - metric or imperial, plus your sport and boulder grading systems.
  4. Your public profile - photo and bio.

One detail about step 4: the photo you choose there is not saved yet. It is shown as a preview but discarded when you finish. Upload it in Ajustes (Settings) once you are inside; there it does persist.

If a step will not let you continue

When something required is missing, the field turns red and shakes slightly, but no text appears explaining what is missing. Check the marked fields on the step you are on.
